The Blackhawks
Hockey is my favorite sport. Not only are the games always a joy to watch, but the sport itself has remained so professional over the years. While other sports stick to flopping and performance enhancing drugs, hockey players have continued to be amazing athletes and retain a level of sportsmanship that is hard to find these days. The Blackhawks are my favorite team. Not only are they from my city, but the team itself is so appealing. An original six team that has been with the National Hockey League since the beginning, the Blackhawks have skill to spare and a sweater that puts all other uniforms to shame. Our coach leads with his triumphant mustache and our captain is a true leader. I grew up watching this team rise with my dad and now that they have found their stride, they are consistently a challenger for the one and only Stanley Cup. The Cup is another reason I love this fine sport. A true trophy that is passed along from winner to winner each year. The one true trophy every player dreams of hoisting above their head on the ice. An amazing moment that I have got to witness our boys do twice in my lifetime. One team. One cup. One goal. The is the Blackhawks way and that is why the are my favorite team in all of sports. Lets hope we see a lot of that cup around Chicago in the upcoming years, because I know the hawks have the talent.
